Each year, especially in winter, I head south, either by car or by train. I'm fortunate to live only a few hours away from one of my favorite regions, so this south of France travel guide is the result of these travels.
Most visitors to France dream of exploring southern France, its Mediterranean beaches, luxury resorts, hilltop villages or luxuriant lavender fields. And that's barely scratching the surface.
I'm very fortunate: I live barely four hours from the top of the region, which means I can jump into my car for a weekend visit without much planning. My mother was born in this region, and I'm Mediterranean at heart! Start with...
